The expulsion of rebel candidate Balbir Lal and his supporters Mandal Pradhan and Marh Shakti Sharma and vice president Kissan morcha Harjeet Singh was ordered by JK BJP president Ravinder Raina following a recommendation by the party's disciplinary committee.
